As you should be aware today fans of the popular emo-rock band My Chemical Romance have descended upon Hyde Park at the ungodly hour of 10am to make their stand against the Daily Mail.
By 9:50am there were 100 fans. By 10am over two hundred punctual fans amassed in the morning sunshine to show solidarity and defend their favourite band, who have been blamed for a string of suicides.
DiS' new noisy cousin site ThrashHits.com have the first photos from the rimmel-rimmed frontline...

Visit Thrash Hits.com for more updates throughout the day. And in case you missed it, read Mike Diver's interview with the band from the first time My Chemical Romance were demonised by the Daily Mail.

can we have
a country spin-off site called Nash Hits?
hey
we could rename the Maccabees board Gash Hits?
OOOOH.
If I had access to a cloning machine
I'd have sent my double along to protest peacefully for a while then slit my wrists.
There must be
more than 200 MCR fans in London?
I think you could muster that number in Wrexham!
it started early
raz says there's LOADS more there now
Good on them, seriously
It's this kind of shit which lead to that girl getting killed so horrifically. I don't like MCR, but I can see why people would, and for anyone to run that charge up against a band is morally wrong. But we all knew the vault of morals at The Daily Mail has long been completely empty.
^ this
It's easy to poke fun at them, but fair play to them standing up/sitting down defending something they deeply care about. Passion is good.
Cypress Hill spin-off...
Hash Hits
Potato spin-off?
Mash Hits?
Surely
"THIS BAND SAVES LIVES"- an independant ajudicator would have made more sense.
Reaction is good
Really good they reacted against that..Those cliche prejudices against subcultures spread by mass media are sickening.
I'm glad more turned out
The Daily Mail seems to see its mission as killing off everything that may change our country in the slightest, anything 'out of the ordinary' kids shouldn't get into - unless of course it's some sort of revival of the Hitler Youth, then they're more than welcome to get stuck in

If I was caught in that get-up, I'd consider ending it all too.
I
also just noticed the 'Free hugs' sign that girl's holding.
Just about sums up why most people here are music snobs, then...
