I really really
like this record. I was massively surprised. Perfect for the (fingers crossed) summer.
Good Album!
Hope they're good live tomorrow, apparently they tore SXSW a new back pocket!
i'm seeing them tonight
hurrah!
Seeing this next week
Pretty excited about the whole thing. Splitting UK and US release dates is almost starting to feel a bit archaic now, seeing as loads of people just order stuff online as an import for far cheaper than it would be upon it's regional physical release
yeah
heard they played a blinder!
alas
i am not :(
Great record.
One of a minority i highly recommend this year.
I think
Planet Sound said July 14th for this album. I saw it in Sister Ray the other day (a US import probably I know)
its more to do with
splitting US and EU dates has a number of reasons:
For instance with the dodo's derek and French Kiss started with working them over a year ago and they needed to tour us with a record- and most of the UK hadnt picked up on them at the time...
Sure you can get imports, but thats only a minority of sales. Also when there are different labels (especially if the releases are on small labels...) then it is hard to do a synchro release in all countries.
And then theres bands like The Acorn, who's Glory Hope Mountain album has been out in canada for almost a year and still hasn't got a release over here- but is stunning and will be much loved when it comes out. But you can get it on import- the fact is most people wont, because most people dont care as much as those who post on these boards....would that they did!
