Mystery Jets, White Williams and HEALTH inshops lead Pure Groove relaunch celebrations
Hooray! Pure Groove are opening their new shop on the 2nd of June. They will then proceed to spend the rest of the month celebrating that fact. Again, hooray.
Those celebrations include live performances from the likes of HEALTH (pictured), Mystery Jets, Lykke Li, White Williams and Ipso Facto, as well as a fair number of film and photo exhibitions.
Pure Groove’s new shop at Smithfields market in north London will base its musical stock around the Pure Groove 100 – what the people running it deem to be the 100 most exciting releases of the moment – and will also give prominence to other offerings, showcasing art, visual and sartorial fare alongside any other ephemera in need of a shop shelf, such as a new clothing range put together in conjunction with London promoters No Pain in Pop.

That's a better line-up
over the course of a month than many actual music venues will be able to muster. Certainly in my neck of the woods anyway (500 miles north of London)
I can walk here in my lunch hour
Kind of an odd location but thanks!
me too
I work about 10mins away. I'll definitely be at HEALTH
*cries*
do it in september when i'm back for uniiiiiiiiii.
Shit location
Just looked at this on a map. Is this really much better than Highgate??
Apart from going to Fabric I never go to this part of town.
At least the new Rough Trade has other stuff around it.
Pure Groove
is basically one of the best independent stores in the Uk hands down!
Shameless Plug...
But Health will be playing later that night too at White Heat. Ahem. PG is a rather good shop. Between them and RT they fill all my musical needs (that the internet does not) and the ride between them is about five miutes! Wonderful!
