Icelandic quartet Sigur Rós will release their new studio LP Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust (translation: With a buzz in our ears we play endlessly) on June 23 via EMI.
One of the album's tracks, 'Gobbledigook', is available to download for free from the official Sigur Rós website, here.
The album, the band's fifth, has a cover with bums on it. Look:

Bums! Those of you who listen to such things can hear 'Gobbledigook' on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show tonight - it's the world exclusive first play. Go, Zane. FYI: you won't be able to download the song for free until after it has been played - aim for around half seven in the PM.
A special deluxe edition of the album will be released later in the year, featuring a ‘Making Of…’ book, a film and more. It can be pre-ordered via the band's official site from June 2.

I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looking forward to hear the new song tonight.
I love that cover
*I am not a bummer, liek.
what do you think
about first song from new album???
It's AWESOME, isn't it?
It's ok.
Didn't exactly blow me away though.
I quite like
the new song. Different.
Not sure about the album name though- not an easy one to say (unless you cheat and say it in English).
this
^^
at least it's a bit of a new direction
animal Collective
good to hear them trying something new, but man, gobbledigook is an absolute rip-off of animal collective circa-'Sung Tongs'... right down to the tribal drumming, acoustic guitar strums, vocal coo-ing / yelps, handclaps... even the back-to-nature kids-as-indians with facepaint in the video... the video actually looks like a lame major label / big money take on the whole freak-folk thing - it's over-glossy, full of only beautiful white kids (like they've just walked round a load of model agencies and picked out 20 cuties) and looks like a high-fashion advert for perfume or something... no teeth, no guts, no dirt, no realism... very shallow...
^
get you!
Video
Song, i like, but yeah kinda AC sounding. Video, quite a lot of nudity to take in in 3 minutes, but it wasn't sexy nudity it was liberated, joyful nudity, but still not sure if it quite worked. Hurm.
erm
I've not been but I don't get the idea there's a huge non-caucasian population in Iceland and I don't really think that the people are that beautifull to be honest (not ugly just not amazing, mainly just thin). Considering they had a vid with just a loada 'specials' I don't think you can complain that once they go for nice looking adults.
As for the song, I like it, so what if it sounds like Sung Tongs, it also sounds like Sigur Ros trying to do something a bit different to what they normally do.
its got more t&a
than a snoop dogg video.
i never thought id ever say that about sigur ros.
Just heard the song
and it made me smile. That's all I ask from this band.
Good
I hope for many longer songs in the album but this is a terrific starter. A bit AC but still very much sigur ros and man oh man is his voice great in this mode.
I will turn up the excitement valves now.
It's a great song
Can't wait for Latitude!
I would still say that with the video
it's not really one to watch in the office, unless you want some questioning looks from fellow colleagues!
