Former Hole screamer and widow of Kurt Cobain Courtney Love has reportedly scrapped her next solo album, some three years in the making, to collaborate with the ex-guitarist of Larrikin Love.
The solo LP - working title Nobody's Daughter - had been in progress since 2005; she'd released debut solo offering America's Sweetheart (review) a year earlier. Involved in the new album were Linda Perry and Billy Corgan. Now, Micko Larkin.
Larkin is said to be in Los Angeles working with Love on completely new material. Larrikin Love split up in 2007 after one LP release, The Freedom Spark, which made number 37 on the albums chart in 2006 (review).

love this woman...
she never fails to surprise me. I did like Larrikin Love when they were about, will be very interesting to see what comes out of this. exciting times
lol
they were on this atrocious channel 4 "documentary" about what made things "cool" the other morning, it was so terrible it made me want to kick in the TV. Larrakin Love were portrayed as being the new Libertines or something, they weren't that great by the looks of them...
She must have spent all of kurt's money by now, what does she live on???
I hate both these musical acts
so this should be interesting...
^Good name
This is bad news, though. Scrapping a record after three years won't necessarily kickstart the creative process. Still, she'll be able to dip back in for the good stuff (Sunset Marquis was pretty good, I thought).
isnt this old news?
did she do a show and he was in the band?
or did i make that up? the chances that Courtney actually made a show are pretty low so probably.
She seems
to hang around with the most random of ppl.
Steve Coogan anyone?
she picked up £25 million last year
from selling part of the song rights
Tis is the most depressingly pointless use of musical instruments ever
someone just kill these people and soon.
they should cancel each other out
you'll love it!
thing is
whatever she does it has to be amazing, because its been years since she did anything that was really any good
i'm pretty sure
i heard about this LAST YEAR
she's fucked up once again here
i got the demos of the songs for 'Nobody's Daughter' off SLSK and theyre tremendous, and worthy of repeat listening. The moment has truly passed for this now, no label in their right mind would take her on now.
