Vanloads of new acts have been shipped in to play Reading and Leeds this year.
British Sea Power, Gallows, Mystery Jets (pictured) and CSS are probably the biggest names added to the bill, though Crystal Castles, Simian Mobile Disco, Digitalism and Holy Fuck feature on a strong ‘dance’ stage line-up.

The Insider: How the 'Albums Artist' is being strangled
that's more like it.
thanks :) (not that i've looked at the list yet)
hmmm this is the lineup that's on wikipedia
is it official then?
also, that's a bit lame
i like the dance stage, but then again, some of that will clash with slipknot and 'tallica :(
Best Reading line-up
for aggggeeeesssss...
It used to be the Concrete jungle stage
and have a skateboard ramp outside it. I don't think I have ever (intentionally) seen anyone play there. Bring back the days of two or even three days of the dance tent.
Yes think so
It's on the official reading one now as well.
By far the best
line-up in the six years I've been going to Reading. Just missed out on Rage first time so that alone is worth the ticket - good to see Seasick Steve and Frank Turner are returning from last year, good to see quite alot of bands returning actually!
No Laura Marling though... possible Mystery Jets appearance?
What else
is there to be announced now? They bringing back the comedy tent? That's always fun x
what?
so we can have shiny toy guns or whoever the fuck they think is 'dance' to play?
At least the lock up has stuck to it's guns and not compromised on tastes and trends, and still has a steller line up.
Come back and talk when they book Aphex Twin to headline, then at least you have a case for more dance, when they actually book a dance worthy band.
still got the carling stage to announce havent they?
that was awesome last year
Aphex Twin played a few years ago
Can't remember which year though. Pulp, Weezer and the White Stripes also played, I think ...
It's all a little hazy.
My view is a purely selfish one
Granted the Lock up stage seems to do its job well, but I don't care for anyone who plays on there. How about !!! last year who were certainly a dance worthy band. I'm glad they have moved the dance stage onto the sunday, otherwise there are normally two stages I can write off on the sunday.
CSS
are not dance tent headline worthy, they are tosh, and live they are worse tosh.
think of the possibilities! think! gargh. I guess I can't complain too much though.
