Roundly hailed and held aloft by those who attended this summer, the Estrella Damm-sponsored Primavera Sound has announced the first raft of acts to play the 2008 festival.
Held in Barcelona’s Parc del Forum from the 29th to the 31st of May, the event tends to bring together an incredibly strong bill of both established and new acts.
Those confirmed so far include:

Clipse

Holly Golightly and the Brokeoffs
the Felice Brothers
Man Man
The shows represent Clipse and Mission of Burma’s first performances in Spain.

there's something very very funny
about clipse being so popular with indie types, and them consequently ending up on these festival lineups, spitting their tales of crack-slangin in between sets by okkervil river and wilco.
i bet they're a bit bemused by it all
