Vetiver cultivating bumper crop of new material

A raft of new Vetiver material is being prepared for your ears.
First – a new album proper, for which band captain Andy Cabic’s been writing new material with one eye on a spring release. Vague? As of yet, yes.
Rather more details have emerged of a 12” featuring remixes of ‘You May Be Blue’ and ‘Been So Long’; tracks from last full-length To Find Me Gone that have been reworked by Cabic and producer Thom Monahan into what Pitchfork describes as “drone-heavy, ‘deconstructive and electronic’” versions of the originals.
That will be out on the 29th of January through Cabic and Devendra Banhart’s Gnomonsong label.
Still, more. An all-covers LP has Cabic’s other eye on spring, too – covers of cuts by Hawkwind, Norman Greenbaum and Townes Van Zandt set to feature, among others.
