Russian Circles: DiS show confirmed, plus headline dates...
DiS is pleased to announce that we will be presenting Russian Circles' first-ever headline London show at the end of August, at a very special end-of-summer party.
The Chicago-based three-piece - pictured - stole our senses away at South By Southwest, and have since picked up both a UK deal (their debut album, Enter, will receive its domestic release later this year) and support slots on this side of the pond with the mighty Tool.
The trio have a series of headline dates booked between their Tool supports and a number of shows with the excellently metal High On Fire. All confirmed shows as follows:
August
21-22 London Brixton Academy with Tool
23 Manchester Apollo with Tool
26 Glasgow Nice N Sleazy's
28 Sheffield Corporation
30 Exeter Cavern
31 London Monto Water Rats DiS show, details below
September
1 Birmingham Barfly with High On Fire
2 Leeds Cockpit
3 Brighton Engine Room
4 Bristol Cooler with High On Fire
5 Oxford Wheatsheaf
6 London Underworld with High On Fire

The DiS show, at the Monto Water Rats in London, is a special end-of-summer party, with doors opening at 7pm and music going right through - courtesy of live bands and some ace DJs - until 2am. Support acts are, at the moment, under our proverbial hat - they'll be announced nearer the time of the gig. All we can say is that what we've got lined up is super special, and ultimately a bill never to be repeated. You will not see a bill like the one we have embargoed in a venue as small as the Monto Water Rats ever... apart from at this show.
And what's best of all, Russian Circles are headlining it. The best live band we've seen all year, at a DiS show? Brilliant... Tickets for the London show are on sale now, priced at £12, from here (show is over-18s).
DiScuss: Excited? We are! Any guesses as to those support bands? We won't be telling you for a while, but it's fun to speculate. See you there? Hope so!

if you are keeping the support under yr hats maybe you should tell them to take the date off their myspace and not post bulletins of the gig? possibly.
