Spice Girls in reunion tour shock

is on my boyfriend's birthday.

I was hoping that the reunion tour shock would be a giant electric one that wiped them out...

Take That's reunion worked because their songs have stood the test of time as Great Great Pop Songs. You don't cringe when you hear 'Back For Good', but I'm not sure whether the same can be said for 'Wannabe' or 'Mama', no matter how poptastic they sounded 10 years ago.

The Spice Girls were so painfully Of The Now in 1996 that I'm not sure this is the best idea - they were a bit of an embarassment by 1998, unlike Take That, who split up before everyone got sick of them.

And at least 3/5 of them are clearly cunts.

'Spiceworld: The Movie' was ace, mind. Richard E. Grant and Roger Moore's joint 2nd finest hour.

What about everyone else?

get a sense of humour. Why all the negativity? Sure, their tunes won't date as well as Girls Aloud have done, but these guys were a cultural phenomenon.

They ushered in a change in attitude towards / by women, dominated the worldwide pop market, had more number ones than The Beatles and had a laugh doing it.

Their music was never so bad it was truly offensive. Unlike The Kooks...

Let them have their moment. I think its sad that theres only one London date and that the tickets are by lottery, but with a week free all around it maybe "DUE TO EXCEPTIONAL DEMAND" stickers will appear soon and that'll be sorted

Because of this, the ensuing months will see the media filled with talking heads, columnists and others trying to tell you that they matter. They don't matter. Look deep inside yourself. They don't matter.

I have "unfinished business", as I never realised they actually split up, so it'll be a chance to indulge my childish pop loving side. Plus I saw them on their last tour, when I was about 10, and it was one of the best shows (as opposed to gigs) that I've ever seen.

Much as I hate Posh Spice in that stupendous irrational way that only exists between normal people and 'slebritee' types who have never done us any actual personal harm......I still can't help finding her oddly sexually alluring.

this tour will make a lot of people very happy, why begrudge them that you grumpy bastards? ;)

yeah she pouts in every picture and looks grumpy but by all accounts she's actually supposed to be quite cool and funny in real life.

also i saw her on ant and decs saturday night take-away with those little kids and she came off so well.
i think she's just misunderstood.
