Electrelane: announce November dates and support Beastie Boys
- Artists:

Indie-rocking all-female four-piece Electrelane - their recent, and very excellent, No Shouts, No Calls LP is out now on Too Pure - have announced three shows for November.
Additionally, the band will support The Beastie Boys at London's Roundhouse on September 6. Which is both weird and brilliant. The show in question will find the NYC rappers not rapping - it's an instrumental performance, y'all.
Those November dates, though:
November
27 Glasgow King Tut's
28 Manchester Club Academy
29 London Koko
Tickets are on sale now for all shows. Add dates to your gig calendar here.

Strange line up excellent band
but the comically rubbish drumming ruins some of their songs though - even now sadly, but still a very good band.
I won't be going however as the Beastie Boys make me feel like I've just been touched in my sleep by a priest.
Probably the oddest reaction to hearing The Beastie Boys...
that I've ever read, anywhere.
well they were ok when I was 14 but then so was The Equaliser
Licenced to Ill was funny then, but now - 3 greying spoilt bronx kids shouting? I think I'd rather spend a week in a room with Woody allen on heat. Just personal choice really.
didn't really warm to subsequent albums or get impressed by people at Uni screaming about Paul's Boutique being genius seeing I knew they'd all end up working for Merril Lynch and not have a clue what their younger selve were talking about.
'selves'
oh well I'm just out of kilter really. Now I'd watch ESG at the Roundhouse......
boo-urns
still not rescheduling the cancelled cardiff date then.
the new album is slightly underwhelming by their standards, isn't it?
erm no its not
but that's the charm of it - its not bad or good, its just got a 'charm' which like too much sugary food can diagree on occasion!
it slows down and speeds up
i think that's fantastic :D
Might have a slice of that.
Beastie Boys + Electrelane, though? That sounds rather bizarre.
I love prole.
that's all.
