Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher is planning to release a solo album in the future, reports NME.
Noel told the weekly: "I've actually got a backlog of songs that are slowly building up. The thing about a solo record is the time to do one is between Oasis world tours because you'd have a good couple of years."
Gallagher added that he has four or five songs already planned for inclusion on a solo record, which he says "is coming". Oasis meanwhile are working on the follow-up to 2005's well-received Don't Believe The Truth LP. The as-yet-untitled record is due out next year.

well recieved?
certanly not here at least...
It was ok
Certainly the best since the glory days
6.5/10
Isn't he always talking some shit?
After DBTT, weren't they twatting on about the seventeen albums-worth of stuff leftover that was gonna be released?
That was scaled down to a new single that didn't happen. Not that I'm complaining. Hopefully just talking about music is enough for him now.
wow
never saw that one coming.
I absolutely guarentee this will be
a terrible, terrible album.
i genuinely think
his solo album will be better than any recent oasis material. he's the best songwriter in that sinking ship by someway. he also knows it. there's pride in putting your own name to it. i dont think he'd dare make it cack.
it probably will be, but i'd like to be suprised.
If he keeps it simple
like the early b-sides he sang it might be ok. He should have finished the band after the disaster of Be Here Now and done this then - but it's too late now.
hasn't he been blabbing about this for years?
wasn't he going to do a drum and bass album at some point?
Is there anything at all we can do
to stop this record coming out?
