Brian Jones is doing a solo sitar set on the Saturday night on top of the Pyramid stage whilst taking a big psychedelic freak out poo onto the Killers below. Read it in my tea this morning so it must be true.

Bjork is the best news i'd say, though i'm not going. Can't top 2003 IMO (radiohead, sigur ros, rem, mogwai, flaming lips etc), it is worth going for the festival itself though.

...is the reason I would never go to Glastonbury. If I wanted to spend 3 days tit high in mud and travellers I'd go to a field where there were some and hang around there for free. This whole "You go there for the vibe maaaaan" is bollocks.

is the only person from this list with the credentials to headline what is more often than not touted as the greatest festival on earth; and she is supposedly headlining the second stage.

I knew The Arctic Monkeys were heaslining the pyramid ages ago (contacts ya see), which is typical of the way things are going with this festival...I think no band should be allowed to headline this festival until they have released a minimum of 3 albums. How can you give the punters that are paying £150 value for money if you have to throw every jam and doodle you've ever done into the mix in order to have a headline set worthy of the title. Money first, pride second!

By bands are only a minute part of it, I mean there are comedy tents, theatre, circus etc. So if none of the bands appeal to you then go and have a look at one of the other fields and you might find something that does entertain you

It's the Glastonbury Festival of Perfoming Arts after all not the Glastonbury Music Festival.

If you're just after a music festival then you're probably right not to go.

cant really be fucked with another "TOL are shite argument", their live shows are excellent and only arcade fire so far have exitied me more live, I cannot stand the smiths, a view which pretty much is determined by Morrisey's vocal, which i find hard to listen to

...because even discussing TOL gives them too much credit.
I suggest you see more bands if only two have excited you.

How can anyone say that the kiilers, kaisers and lily allen arent worthy of headliners?? I think the line up is great! I would have liked snow patrol and red hot chilli peppers there though.

Sorry for the crassness of this plug, but as an unsigned band you know you gotta. The Winding Stair are confirmed for the Acoustic Stage on Sunday 23rd, probably about 2pm or so. We're third on at any rate.

We do a dark folk akin to Pentangle mixed with a bit of David Sylvian, moodier Clannad etc... it would be totally amazing if people checked it out.

Again sorry for the plug, but you know how it is these days as a smaller band - plus we'd love you to get to the tent!
