Pelican, Part Chimp and more for Rhaaa Lovely Festival
Pelican (pictured) and Part Chimp are among the top draws - ha, see what we did there? - at this year's Rhaaa Lovely Festival.
The day-long Belgian do - held in Salle St Martin, Cortil-Wodon - takes place on April 7. The damage to your wallet: 14 euros. Cheap, yes? Yes! But the event's almost sold-out, so if you can make it, click HERE to, y'know, buy a ticket.
The full bill:
Pelican
Part Chimp
Arnaud Michniak
A Whisper In The Noise
Audrey
Yndi Halda
Bracken
The Matt Elliott Foundation
Crippled Black Phoenix
Rothko
Frank Shinobi

Can't make it? Too bad, but worry thee not as you can still catch Pelican - and why would you not want to? - on their DiS/Rock Sound-sponsored UK tour next month - click here for dates.
Also, Yndi Halda play our once-a-month DiScover Club, a free-entry afternoon show at London's Notting Hill Arts Club, on June 23 with These Monsters. Now that's a date for the diary. Click here to add the show to your gig calendar.

this festival really is special. this will be my second year. last year was amazing with 65daysofstatic, 31knots, charlottefield and other fantasic names.
this year looks brilliant, cannot wait
worth the trip just
to see part chimp on a big stage a la latitude last year (completely miss-billed but fun) and Audrey who are on repeat on my mp3player at the moment, wonderful female sigur-mogwai type thing :)
by christ...

It is going to be amazing !

I downloaded the festival mp3 compilation
I wish i could go, all the bands are amazing.
Yndi and Pelican at the same festival ahh.
.
fucking belgium
HECK!
yes this was awesome! Yndi were outstanding and my favourite act there. Other highlights were pelican of course, crippled black pheonix and part chimp.
so glad I went!
I love this festival
for many reasons: 65 Dos played last year and i'd not seen the previously, Pelican played this year and it was incredible. Lots of folk, who, like me, have been terribly naughty and dowloaded City of Echoes already have said it's nay as good, but i love it and they largely played things from it here, it really made me appreciate it more, they are breathaking live. I cannot wait for the full European tour in the autumn. Yndi were incredible too, im in Canterbury next year so hopefully they will play gigs in my bedroom every night? Does anyone know if bands actually do that in real life? What a lovely thought...
