Hey you! Don't spread Slint rumours, you...

Touch And Go/Quarterstick are getting mighty peeved at people asking them when (not if?) Slint - currently preparing for their Spiderland tour (click here for all dates) - are going to release new material.
A post on the Chicago labels' website reads:
People are starting to ask us about a new album from Slint. Here's the deal. Slint has been preparing for shows this summer. They want to play music together and have decided to work on new material. Once they find a rehearsal space (in Louisville, KY), they can begin this process. Please do not start rumors about an impending Slint recording. Anything new will take a while. With a little luck, Touch and Go will have something to release in the next few years.
Fingers crossed? Do bears do their business in barky surroundings?

Hey man
why did you cut Pajo off of that picture? Hmmm?
ive not heard this rumour.
a slint album in the next few years is good news, whtever the rumour it disperses.
FUCK PAJO
Him and his solo blergh.
Not really...
...
the
whole Slint re-assembly thing was one of the biggest musical disappointment I've had in years.
I fear that any new material from them, some 16 years would just be, well... toilet.
how can they top
spiderland anyway?
yippee
hehehe - perhaps there only 3 of them now? Kidding!
Im super excited about seeing them perform again- its a glorious musical year ahead (Shellac, Slint, Sonic Y-ahhh)! Flackcaptain dont be such a pessimistic ( ; Sometimes bands actually do make a good return... Im sure Slint will not disappoint
