That anger's a gift is a given, but the chances of Rage Against The Machine playing this year's Coachella Valley Music (and Arts) Festival, not so. But they bloody well are, y'know.
The reformed RATM are to headline the Californian festival's Sunday night (April 29); Björk will headline on April 27, with Red Hot Chili Peppers funking their way onto the main stage on the 28th.
Also confirmed for this year's event are: Interpol, The Roots, Air, Sonic Youth, The Decemberists, Arcade Fire, !!! and Arctic Monkeys.

The Weekly DiScussion: just what is a 'DiS band'?
bloody hell!
i never thought that would happen
actually i did
So very HAPPY! :D :D :D :D
this is great!
Interesting.
Good to see that interpol and bjork look like they are doing the festivals this year. Does anyone reckon they will do Glastonbury or reading?
Interpol
Reckon they'd be good for one or the other.
Bjork... heck, why not. It'd be smashing to see her over here. Not holding my breath mind (esp not for Reading/Leeds... Bjork would be more Glasto/Latitude/ATP even...?)
They are coming
TO TAKE THE POWER BACK!.....oh yes.
I am pretty happy about this.
WOW
WOW
Bring that
shit in!
HOORAH!
Very excited! It has to start somewhere
It has to start sometime
What better place than here

Rage Against
Who?
When did Rage reform?
or is this the official announcement?
And does anybody care what happens to Audioslave?
No
The Machine
they're one of those innumerable bands with 'The' at the beginning of their name...
If they're off to California will Zach finally take the opportunity to go "rolling down Rodeo with a shotgun"?
Will AnTHony Kiedis take the opportunity of being on the same bill
to accuse them of ripping him off? Again.

Blodey hell. That is probably the best line up ive ever seen at a festival. It makes me despise all other festivals. Nothing seams worth going to. T in the Park can fuck off this year

Tom Morello
has just confirmed that this will definitely be a one-off show. No tour.
RATM vs Audioslave
The first is a group everyone is longing to reform permanently, the latter the opposite
I'm going
to go to this.
Although there aren't that many bands I want to see, but there's loads I don't.
Oh well, it'll be sunny!
Oh wait, it's gonna cost me £500.
