Utter wank
Future of british music? God help us all
not
heard them but NME can't be wrong er can they??
LOL
No NEVER
Try their myspace for a "taster" of The Horrors horrible noise
The Horrors are absolutely vital to the UK indie scene.
What we really, really needed was a bunch of posh Hoxton-dwelling art school cunts making good on Daddy's credit card. Because we didn't have enough of those.
YES YES
I will be buying this!!!!!!
they are
an absolute snapshot of what went wrong with the 'indie' music scene.Still the singer does sometimes look quite cool.....
i really really really
dont care about this band
not really
they may be terrible but they're hardly emblematic of what's wrong with the indie music scene. nobody else sounds like them for a start. they're a band who make stupid music and look stupid and behave stupidly and have fun doing it, they don't pretend to be anything else. i'd say far more fitting of being an absolute snapshot of all that is wrong with indie music would be shite like the fratellis, the view and the automatic, people making ridiculously bland, unoriginal, derivative music with zero originality and thinking they're changing the fucking world with it.
i'd never listen to their records (i've only heard sheena is a parasite which i thought was actually quite funny in how in-your-face awful it was, though im not sure if that was intentional) but i do enjoy their presence for the sole reason that they annoy lots of people
gah
"unoriginal with zero originality"
oooh, you betcha.
5 of those songs
have already been released on other formats. thats pretty weak. despite their godawful appearance etc i have a softspot for this band.
soft spot?
like the base of their skull...?
My Horrors verdict:
- 2 or 3 really good enjoyable rock n roll songs to dance to but NOT an album band.
- I'll give them till early 2008... (how weird does 2008 sound!?)
I also think they look ace.
From feet to neck.
The haircuts and eye make up are where it goes out the window. Really ruins them.
