Robbie Williams was paid a stonking one million quid to perform at a city broker's birthday party in the south of France.
Michael Spencer, whose own worth runs to some £360 million, celebrated his fiftieth with 300 guests and the singer, whose hour-long set proved to be something of a talking point.
The Sun quotes a guest at the £1.5 million party as saying: "When Robbie came on people could not believe that he was there playing to them in such an intimate venue. It was a night no one will forget."
Williams gave his pay cheque to charity. Which is nice.
