Early Green Day albums to be re-released

Green Day's first two albums, 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours and Kerplunk, are to be re-released via Reprise in the US.
The albums were originally released in 1991 and 1992, through Lookout!. The new versions will be released in the States on December 19.
1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours will festure brand-new content, including 20 minutes of live material from the time and new artwork including lyrics and flyers.
No UK release dates for the albums have yet been set.

I thought Kerplunk was great when I was young. That said the two most popular artists at my high school at the time were Garth Brooks and Pearl Jam so make of that what you will.

Was a re-release of some EPs yeah but a re-release of THAT came out in 2004 with all the tracks re-mastered etc. and all the bonus gumph mentioned in the article, it was a pretty nice package.
It was released by Lookout! and Kerplunk! was also planned for re-release in a similar manner but since the band told them to shove it for stealing profits it's obviously found it's way to reprise.
But yeah, it's already been re-released, i got it in HMV. I'm guessing those were recalled a while ago.

Lovely remastered version of '409 In Your Coffeemaker'
More Replacements than their current foul output, and thus more agreeable.

i loved them both... scarily that was over 10 years ago. my god, how reissues like this make me feel old.
