Good news! Australian eight piece Architecture In Helsinki are bringing their ecstatic Arcade-Fire-for-the-under-fives style of indie-pop joy to our shores early next month.

July
3rd - London, Brixton Windmill (DiS All Day BBQ)
5th - London, Club Fandango
6th - London, Barfly
7th - Cambridge, Portland Arms
8th - Liverpool, Barfly
9th - Nottingham, The Social
12th - Glasgow, Mono

Having supported the likes of David Byrne, The Polyphonic Spree and Belle & Sebastian, these shows anticipate the release of their second album, the superb 'In Case We Die', later this year. If you're impatient however, it's available on import from Amazon and for legal download from eMusic.

I'm not sure whether it's due to them having a great photographer or simply knowing how to pose, but every photo of them appears to be from (the cool part of) heaven.

I think I might even go to all 3 of the London gigs. In Case We Die and Fingers Crossed are both amazing.

their website says the glasgow gig is at mono, not sleazy's...

EDITED! moshi moshi gave a different set of dates for some reason.

to clarify: no york date, glasgow show IS at mono and nottingham is on the 9th.

i'm spending 4 and a half hours waiting for a train to see these guys. hooray.

ermmmmmmm this is the press release i got a few minutes ago:

For those of you who have just returned from Glastonbury, hope you’ve recovered somewhat. I’ve still got floppy limbs and a general feeling of bodily weirdness...although no trench foot thank god. Ace!

Anyway, apologies, just found out that Architecture in Helsinki WILL in fact be doing some shows outside of London in July. Full list of live dates listed below, but kick off is in London this coming Sunday, at the Windmill:

grrr. the fibbers website definitely says Hayseed Dixie are playing on the 11th and i phoned mono earlier who confirmed the show is definitely on tuesday the 12th. my head, she explode.

If anyone wants 2 tickets for £10 for the Fandango night on the 5th, leave me a message, I need to get rid of mine and they will be a £1 cheaper than if bought elsewhere. Hope someone can give me a hand..Cheers
