Brand for Adam Ant biopic?

Big Brother presenter and comedian Russell Brand is being lined up to play Adam Ant in an upcoming screen adaptation of the singer's autobiography, Stand And Deliver.

Directors behind the movie - still in its planning stages - are apparently keen on the loudmouthed presenter and his silly hair. The Daily Star reports:

"Russell would be perfect. There is an obvious physical comparison between the two. But there's more too, they both had a tough childhood and shared some similar issues in their lives."

What, that they both liked ice-lollies and watched Blue Peter? Probably.
