robert plant hmmmm would be interesting, the rest shite, so £100 for one act is a no no

All the festival line ups so far this year look rubbish!

I'd say it's worth going.

Why? Well, the main stage lineup is always bobbins and the NME stage lineup is always great. You get a load of the acts that appear at places like Reading, but (in Staffs at least) in a far flung corner of the site where there's always loads of room and you can get up pretty close. The more tat they add to the main stage, the better.

Re: Oasis and lots of others confirmed for V Festival

i'm gonna set up a stall at V this year selling fake burberry, if oasis are playing i'll be a millionaire by sunday lunchtime.

Well they better confirm Jamie Cullum otherwise i'm not going :(

I think that picture of Liam Gallagher should be changed. It scares me.

He looks like a young Alice Cooper with a tree up his arse in that picture.

Re: Oasis and lots of others confirmed for V Festi

Is there any need for that big picture of Liam Gallagher? What a knobjockey. Put up a pic of Ms Goldfrapp, much more pleasing to the eye..

Re: Oasis and lots of others confirmed for V Festival

Chris, I'm so excited I bought tickets for next year as well: Now That's What I Call Mojo-tastic 2006.

Re: Oasis and lots of others confirmed for V Festi

Yaaaay! Jet!!! My favourite band ever!!!

I think Liam was shooting for an Ian Brown-type simian preacherman sort of thing, with that halo behind him, but at the last minute Bonehead (it's an old photo, right?) stuck his finger up Liam's arse, resulting in the expression you see there...

Oasis live should be a good day out. It's not clever, but it is big. Ditto Scissor Sisters. But in a different way. Dizzee Rascal's great and GLC are good for a laugh and a bit of a bounce, Robert Plant's solo stuff is tedious, tedious, sub-Kula Shaker nonsense, but he always throws a bit of Zep in. The rest should be fairly dull.

The preacherman has spoken, you can all go home now.

hmm there's a few bands on there that would be worth seeing. just not at V

Re: Oasis and lots of others confirmed for V Festival

I saw Robert Plant at the Isle of Wight Festival a couple of years ago. Tedious is about right. His set went on for about 5 long hours.

Re: Oasis and lots of others confirmed for V Festi

Canterbury Fayre 2003. I hope it wasn't me and my bro scrumping apples from the farm that lead to it being cancelled this year...

Re: Oasis and lots of others confirmed for V Festival

Yes, but note the PAST TENSE in the first two statements..

Re: Oasis and lots of others confirmed for V Festival

well, i'd rather see Texas than the Bravery...
