Cor, that Beyoncé Knowles is one fat porker, eh? No? Ah well, I must be having visions of the future then, as Knowles and her Destiny's Child girls are the new faces of McDonald's.

Replacing ol' Trousersnake as the burger chain's yoof-specific marketing toy, Destiny's Child will front McDonald's' global 'I'm Lovin' It' campaign. They'll appear in TV adverts, and Ronald and his chums will sponsor the group's forthcoming world tour.

Knowles told the ever-hungry press of the world: "We're lovin' (see what she did there? This woman is on the ball!) the chance to work with McDonald's and know that together we'll create lots of fun and cool surprises. McDonald's shares our passion for music, so we can't wait to start connecting to our fans."

Take a look at Destiny's Child. A close look. Is anyone seriously going to tell me they EVER eat in McDonalds? Or that they get it delivered to their dressing room as part of their tour rider?

Actually, in all seriousness, that's what has happened isn't it? Someone in the McDonalds marketing department (what a job THAT must be) must have thought 'Hmmm. Super Size Me wasn't good for our public profile. I KNOW! Let's get the thinnest looking women in showbiz to endorse our products! I'm a McGenius.'

I'm recalling a Q photoshoot from a couple of years back where they wore the most ridiculous corsets. I can't say I've followed their careers with any degree of interest since.

...although Beyoncé was good in Goldmember I thought.

My friend saw Super Size Me and hasn't been in a McDonalds since. Thankfully he can still go to Burger King.
I hope Destiny's Child all eat their free McMeals and get really fat. Hahahahahahaha. I'm feeling mainly nasty today.
