Comes up as having 0 tracks for me
anyone else?
really?
:(
Nevermind, it's working now!
Just took ages to load :)
nothing by them on Spotify
Ditto Grizzly Bear, Marissa Nadler, Martyn and heaps more that I looked for...
Is this in order?
I'd also say Sea Within A Sea is comfortably the best song on Primary Colours, with Scarlet Fields and the title track getting silver and bronze.
nope
just in a listenable order. not sure why everyone needs things put in an order of best and worst. it's just 100 songs which are better than the thousands/millions of others released this year.
I'm a bit sad
that nothing from Grammatics made it, particularly Relentless Fours. Good list otherwise though!
Thankee DiS
As a wholly apathetic individual - an apathete if you will - this is a nicely effort-free way of listening to some of these new-fangled musicky types. Cheers.
no-one added it
not much of a fan myself so didn't think to add them but they are indeed missing. can't remember everything.
Those are all REALLY solid choices
With the sole exception of that Mars Volta track, which is wank; far better songs on the album
Great to see Staff Benda Bilili on there...
They are incredible: http://congolese.blogspot.com/2009/02/staff-benda-bilili.html
Wouldn't have singled out that particular Jeffrey Lewis track myself, but its still a pretty great list.
Brilliant, thanks a lot for this
Will give it a full listen over the next couple days.
Half life
Alghough I seem to spend half my life listening to new music, there are LOADS of things in this list I've not heard, and I'm making my way through it now. 2 down 98 to go...!
SVIIB choice
Iamundernodisguise vs My Cabal?
I'd have put the latter on this list, but I'd be interested to know if this is a minority opinion. It's the MBV vocal harmonies in that one that really do it for me.
Phew!
Just checked for Frá Gleymdu Vori by Sprengjuhöllin but iTunes (un)reliably tells me it's a 2008 release.
My faith in you is restored!
Shame no Orphans & Vandals
Either Christopher or Terra Firma...brilliant tracks. Also prefer Yin/Post Yin to Arming Eritrea...and Heart Sweats to Young Hearts Spark Fire.
nice one on putting that chris anderson thing
i hope there is more spoken-word stuff (podcasts, radio books, poetry, plays) to come on spotify, that would be so good. .....
really very good
That playlist has restored my faith in DIS..
spotify?
isn't spotify beta only? is an acct needed? can someone hook me up?
Some people fink I'm bonkers!
But I just fink I'm free!
No kidding, how did you overlook Dizzee?
Good playlist though!
stuff like this...
...is the reason, music journalism seems to have died. Remember the times when sites like these (or magazines) actually wrote comments to the songs? Now it's just "dropping a spotify playlist". That's lazy journalism for me. I can create a list as well (via iTunes).
It's not.
All this stuff is in addition to, not in place of, the stuff that was going on before. And, well, there's plenty of other written stuff on this and plenty of other websites. If this website was just Spotify lists then you'd have a point, but it isn't and you don't. And, in these sorts of situations, writing 50 words on something is fairly pointless when people have the ability to listen to it anyway.
have you noticed
the rest of the site?
Playlist gone?
Spotify can't find the playlist anymore
Playlist gone?
Spotify can't find the playlist anymore
why does no one rate "Connjur"?
That's the real pick, in my opine.
there's no pains of being pure at heart on spotify
and probably other things too, because our digital distributor IODA has only just come to an agreement with Spotify. It'll all be up there soon though if you want to put them on next time!
Cheers, Sean @ Fortuna POP!
