My band An Axe's debut EP (recorded two winters ago in the crypt of St Paul's church in Bristol) is now available in physical format!
'Some, When Alone, Cease To Exist' contains four tracks of what has been described as "fatalist balladry and minor-key unrest."
Each CD comes in a screen printed digipack with original artwork by James A Holland (www.graphicblandishment.com)
You can listen to some tracks from the EP, as well as new material at our Myspace: http://www.myspace.com/anaxe
We only ask that you part with £5 should you require a copy.
Messages to me on DiS or to our Myspace will be replied to with ordering details.
An Axe have, in the past, been compared to everyone from Nick Cave to Roy Orbison.
"Make no mistake, these are songs that belong to desperate times or desolate surroundings. Pianos echo as if stabbed in a darkened saloon, drums pound sparingly their ritualistic rhythms, and Chris Nicholls' vocals hurdle the band’s confrontational melodies.." (SkeletonCrewQuarterly)
