Covering up content with advertising is the one sure fire way to ruin a website.
I was just about to start this thread. Fucking hate these adverts - it's one thing having thm in the sidebars.....
It's not like you have an option - they will appear and block the screen every time you go to a new page until you "interact" with it. So there is no way to not be advertised to.
So you have a five second delay while you click 'close' on every single page.
Hoorah for me!
be on every page I click on? I clicked on the advert once to try and get rid of it but it's still here.
certain that I will never, ever buy a can of Coke "zero".
just get rid of the advert!!!!!!!
people who design these things never go further than backstage anyway.
at festivals - argh!
these are awful, and as others have said always put me off of using websites. adverts at bottom and side i can live with, but not these
i don't mind advertising on websites, i understand people need to pay the bills and all but this is coming up every single time and it's frankly f'king annoying.
and crabbers will tell us off for 'grumbling'.
What can people see? Intriguing...
and it even has a shadow over the page, you clever HTMLers!
Crabbers once told me Megabus were going to advertise -that would have been MUCH better
whats even worse is when they have sounds as well.
It's evil Flash.
Flash is a naughty thing for advertisers to have isn't it?
labouring under the impression that DiS doesn't need advertising revenue.
thanks for switching it, anyway!
it's a monkey !
don't forget to use our profiles to targert adverts at us, a la myspace. i don't know what i would do with all the half-naked women advertising dating sites that appeared the moment i set my status to "single"...
Like I miss that embolism I had in my left lung one time.
used to always do that.
and when i had modem it crashed my computer every time i went here.
i havent looked at it in about 3 years. is it even still there?
On my PC at home, I see absolutely no adverts whatsoever on DiS.
that it looks...
