parents still have the right to withdraw their children from it, don't they?
And now at the age of 19 I have 11 children. Let the kids learn!
you'd have to depluralise parents, i'd have thought.
put a condom on a pritt-stick, those were the days.
with great joy the day our teacher taught us all of the 'naughty words' that we shouldn't say. We spent 15 minutes at breaktime calling each other cunts before we all got brought in and made to write lines :(
Honestly we never saw condoms in sex ed as girls!
Statutory right that also applies to religious education and collective worship.
to withdraw myself from collective worship. i wouldn't have minded if it was actual wine they gave you to drink.
kids don't have a legal right to withdraw themselves - as with most things in education law, it only applies to parents...
just of really menacing glares by the really religious teachers. my own fault for going to a CofE school and not being religious really...
i realised i didn't have to do something i was uncomfortable with. so i stopped.
but is there an argument, from religious types, that sex education is subliminally taught in a variety of subjects which means that the right to parental veto doesn't actually exist?
'Ok kids, here are you maths equations. If 2(cock) - 3(bucket fanny) = 15(tits/arse), am I gay?'
well, i didn't SAY i believed it.
which always ended with a man singing a song which went "It's up to you, it's up to you, whatever you do, it's up to you!"
was when my history teacher in Year 10 was trying to put a video about the First World War on and accidentally put on a taped episode of Eurotrash :D
any videos in sed ed, i think we got diagrams, that was about it
I blame my school for me being clueless about sex.
it even had one of those great fake-club-scenes where everyone shouts over quiet music and it's really light and about 4 people are dancing.
and then they have sex.
when three kids had to leave the room during the STD talk in school because of the pictures. They later claimed it was because 'they had work to do'. Yeah RIGHT.
I've got them all.
The time he accidentally wrote REM instead of RAM!
The time he got his calf stuck in the front door!
into his sex parlour basement.
he disgusts me.
(Old 'On The Buses' reference.)
does anyone know if it is ok to have sex with animals?
I've got a friend who wanted to know...
it is fine to go dogging - David Attenbrough did for aliving.
Can't even wank off a dolphin?
Those stuffed shirts in government will do anything to stop people having fun, won't they?
I laughed. It featured a woman giving birth, I swear it was trying to put us off sex. Also featured 3 teenage boys talking in a bus shelter - "Yeah, I woke up last night, and my bed was wet".
"Grab hold of this, it's the bannister!"
the actors doing sex-ed videos - just how far has their life sunk? just how badly do they need to pay that rent?
me and friends...erm "reminisced" (I apologise for my spelling) about our own sex ed in primary 6, we all had a really classy video with a theme tune going "my body's nobody's body but mine, you run your own body, let me run mine" and talked about whether you had the "yes" feeling or the "no" feeling...
Sex education is supposed to be about preventing pregnancy
we were supposed to, but we got Citizenship twice instead
but thats not the only important thing children need to learn about sex! The 'yes' feeling and the 'no' feeling are important too (lol) and stds are pretty damn important too, since getting a certain one could stop your chances of any sex in the future!
a lot about the yes and no feeling in Citizenship, but I think it was regarding picking up litter.
That's going on a t-shirt
"parents still have the right to withdraw their children from it, don't they?"
Well, parents have the right to home-school their children, to never let them meet anyone else, to never leave the house, to never read a book, to never watch telvision.
