[London-centric] Flatmate wanted.

fionapinkstars [Edit] [Delete] 54 replies 12:55, 28 June '06

We were expecting a new flatmate to move in this weekend, but she's really rudely pulled out at the last minute, thus we're a bit stuck.
It's a nice flat in Hackney, and we're nice people...
If anyone needs somewhere to live/knows anyone who needs somewhere to live/etc. please let me know. Please.

        • Does my name need to be mentioned

          every time some mentions meths?

          moker @TheoGB | 28 Jun '06, 13:35 | X
          • We were talking about meths

            not moker weren't we?

            I'm confused.

    • Meth smoker?

Sorry Fiona, this isn't helping is it?

      colonol_k @TheoGB | 28 Jun '06, 13:17 | X
  • No.

I need someone to vouch for my niceness. And the niceness of my flat.

    fionapinkstars | 28 Jun '06, 13:18 | X
    • Your nice

Your flat could well be a scumhole though. I've not seen it. It's in Hackney, the poorest borough in London, so it may be on a losing start...

      TheoGB @fionapinkstars | 28 Jun '06, 13:19 | X
      • there are more people

        living in hackney

        than in reykjavik

        • are they poorer?

          i want more icelandfacts.

          • They'll be richer

            :D

      • her nice what?

        guntrip @TheoGB | 28 Jun '06, 13:21 | X
        • flat?

Erm. I have no idea. I either fucked up or had a totally different sentence in mind at the beginning to at the end.

Either is actually possible given how fucked my mind is.

Like a sieve? No, more like a hoop on a stick.

          TheoGB @guntrip | 28 Jun '06, 13:22 | X
    • Fiona is very nice

      and the flat is lovely

      will that do?

      IndieAndy_Jones @fionapinkstars | 28 Jun '06, 13:20 | X
      • ^^By the way

I've never met Fiona or her flat, so I could be very very wrong about both statements.

        IndieAndy_Jones @IndieAndy_Jones | 28 Jun '06, 13:25 | X
        • I am nice.

And I do have a nice flat.

          • she is

and she must have a nice flat because she lives in it.

  • Fiona's lovely

and sharp. And she told me her flat and her housemate were lovely before she wanted someone to move in, therefore it must be true.

Hackney's the best borough in London, WORD.

    smilingcrazylady | 28 Jun '06, 13:32 | X
    • I'm looking to move to London

soon. Not sure where abouts I'll be living though. Where is Hackney>

      stubryce @smilingcrazylady | 28 Jun '06, 13:38 | X
      • East London, inner city

It's a bit downtrodden but exciting to live in.

        colonol_k @stubryce | 28 Jun '06, 13:39 | X
        • thanks.

          does that mean it's cheaper?

          stubryce @colonol_k | 28 Jun '06, 13:40 | X
          • Should do

            depends on where you are.

You can pretty much guarantee these guys are wasting their time:

          • some parts are.

other parts (the ones without too much gun crime, usually) are "dead trendy" and that tends to push the price up.

            • 'dead'

South of the river is where it's at. We have...shops...and...erm...overland trains...and...well that's it actually.

                • We have both those things too.

                  • Yeah

Well do they film the Richard & Judy show up the road from your house? And do Richard & Judy then go to your local curry house for dinner, which is also where Steve Lamacq sometimes goes because he lives close by?

                    DIDN'T THINK SO

                      • that too

it's really odd, but whenever i go somewhere now i compare it to Bow and Bow wins EVERY TIME.

The Rose & Crown pub on Bromley High Street is my favourite place ever.
