Yeah, having trouble installing Reason, any tips?
but before that, I was somewhat intrigued by the title! :D
yeah it is a pretty boring thread
no cd's, just the installers
if you told us what the problem was, what system you're running, what version of reason you're installing and if it's legal or downloaded...
I got an adapted version free with the M-box.
that you are looking for.
but i have to use this at uni every now and again. and i cant stand the fucking thing.
I think you might need the Mbox to install and run it.
ReasonFact: The majority of Give Up by Postal Service was done on Reason.
When I did it it needed 3 discs, the program, and (I think) 2 soundbank CD's. You also need a license code thingy because you *don't buy the software, you buy the license code to use it*.
If you have "Just the installers" it sounds downloaded. If they're something like ".daa" files then you need to mount them using a program like PowerISO which fools your PC into thinking they're proper CDs inserted into your system.
if it doesn't have the reason factory sound bank then it won't work one bit..
i did start typing that before jolley said the exact same thing...
it accepts the Okester but it won't accept the Factory Sound Bank one. Any suggestions?
First the Reason one
Then the RFSB one
Then the Okester one
It should work, why won't it accept the RFSB one? You need to give us more information :P
first it asks for cd 2 the orkester one and that works fine, then cd 3 the sound bank onebut it just wont accept it
it just ejects the sound bank cd? without installing?
does it come up with any error messages?
probably put all the disc images onto disc if you havn't already.
i hear toast works quite well.
I think I may have found a solution
Now, how do you use this thing?
To add devices as you need. Most of the top devices in the list are for making music, the lower half is mostly for changing and manipulating the sounds. If you find the sounds go off altogether, the "boxes" probably arent connected. Either press tab to physically turn them round, or go on...*****(I dont know)*****....and press "Auto-Route Devices).
For most of the music making devices you'll need a MIDI input, such as a keyboard. Pretty much one of the only ones you can use without a Keyboard is the ReDrum player and the Loop player.
