I'd like to try it, that's all. I wondered how complicated a job writing a simple one would be?
would you like to try it?!
the whole point would be to never install flash and that crap and not show images.
All text would be rendered like Notepad.
The result: a browser I can use at work but everyone just thinks I've got notepad open.
I reckon something like that shouldn't be too hard to program, since it's just doing text...
and 'fun' according to one of my uni lecturers. but theyre all wierd
like stabbing yourself in the genitals with a biro.
just had a row for laughing hard
i've written one for Win32 and one for OS X, both using the respective applets for those platforms.
i found it surprisingly easy to integrate the IE COM applet with an app i was designing, so ended up writing myself a slim web browser that basicially was tailored to what i do with the web.
i did the same with Gecko on OS X, but abandoned it when Firefox and Camino leapfrogged and included everything I wanted.
god bless open source.
when he was 13
I'll have a look at doing that sort of thing. Just want it to be simple and all...
I've written all over my monitor screen with crayon, is that the same sort of thing?
