of some specialist software. although i can't remember the name. not much use, eh?
where you can only play them in the google video player.
But, it tells you who's uploaded them so you can always send them a message and ask for the original file?

theres a firefox add-on that i added-on a few days ago that claims to be able to d/l youtube and google video videos, amongst others. but i havent been able to work it.
not that i have enough space on my hard drive for such shenanigans anyway.
You can if you use Safari on a Mac.
Open the Youtube video in a big window, then open the activity monitor. The file you're looking for is the .flv. Copy the URL into your browser - and it'll start downloading.
Open this .flv file in Flash and export it into a video format.
