if you had to choose one of them?
The Simpsons for me followed by Family Guy
Good work me from five years ago
Pfft to the others.
really stupid when I say that I've never heard of American Dad...?
Also, Simpsons :).
then Family Guy ever since.
really does own all of them.
except the current series, that sucks balls.
truly beats them all, and is possibly the best thing ever broadcast. i'm a bit gutted about the new series too, but it's only half over, it might pick up. 'manbearpig' and 'tsst' are both great, i'm super serial.
into Futurama, dunno why
i've wasted my life.
i have one of those with Friends seasons though.
American Dad, like, totally sucks balls, like
thought id chuck it in as a wildcard
american dad is awesome.political razor sharp.
"where'd they go?"
"the black guys who ran in, did this, and then ran out"
Savour them all.
I am totally in love with this show.
Although, for sheer unadulterated laughs (although they might pale on the next time round) Family Guy wins.
The Simpsons is far too familiar to have such an effect on me.
but at the moment:
The Simpsons (although the ones I see less are hilarious)
Turns out that smiling lady isn't so crazy after all
Simpsons > Futurama > Family Guy > American Dad
I would swap the first two around though if we're talking about the latter Simpsons episodes.
Simpsons was great until about season 9, then turned to shit.
Family Guy has lost its edge, but was great to begin with.
Futurama is good, but I wouldn't seek it out.
American Dad is just kinda patchy.
the simpsons in it's prime
couldn't give a hoot about the others
family guy is awesome.
i was never too impressed with it.
A fair few of my mates rave about Family Guy, but seen a couple of episodes, fell asleep during the Stewie Griffin movie and was left feeling a bit non-plussed about the whole thing.
From the couple of American Dad episodes I've seen, I quite enjoyed them. But it's similar to Family Guy in the sense that EVERYONE IN IT TALKS SO FUCKING LOUD and seems to cram in as many pseudo-jokes/one-liners in as possible.
Simpsons is great, bar the recent ones.
Futurama is quite dull IMO.
then i LOST ALL RESPECT FOR YOU.
futurama is brilliant.
"stop it, stop it. it's fine. i will DESTROY you."
overall, but ever since that Mel Gibson episode it hasn't been very good.
Prime Simpsons is the best. Then Family Guy, Then Futurama.
With American Dad miiiiiiiles behind them.
Space Ghost Coast To Coast is the funniest cartoon/fake talk show. It makes a lot less sense than the above stuff though.
Plus you get a load of indie guests such as Bjork, Thom Yorke and Pavement (as the house band in one episode).
is best at the minute. Like a fine wine its got better with age.
as are all the other 'adult swim' shows, like Brak, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Robot Chicken and The Boondocks.
then the rest
and then south park, which i hate
like fingernails down a blackboard
Glen_Chap has hit the nail on the head. That's probably the order I would pick too.
Futurama - But it is soooo good
But they are all wicked.
it's the wrong order.
Family Guy picked up when Simpsons went lame.
I know fuck all about the other three, except that one has a talking dog, one has a one-eyed woman and one has a dad. Or something.
New South Park Seasons 6-10(Closer to classic Simpsons than anything I've ever seen)
The Simpsons, Futurama, Family Guy, American Dad.
HOWEVER, the definitive top ten:
The Simpsons Season 7
The Simpsons Season 6
The Simpsons Season 8
Family Guy Season 3
Futurama Season 3
Futurama Season 4
The Simpsons Season 5
Futurama Season 2
Family Guy Season 4
The Simpsons Season 9
LOL at the Family Guy love earlier.
I like most Simpsons, and sometimes love it. Love most South Park, though the love does not always extend as much as the Simpsons. Futurama has actually made me cry. The one where the first guy on Mars is named after Fry, and the one with his dog...JFC, rather upsetting.
Family Guy is 'meh'. American Dad is blah.
HOWD YOU LIKE ME NOW?!
but it's never really made me laugh.
... and The Cleveland Show kicks American Dad all over.
It's somehow even worse.
... why else would I surf these forums everyday?
... whatever floats your boat man, I'm not judging :P
black guys have names like Carl
since 2006.... would that be since the anti Family Guy episode South Park produced?
and not in a 'oh look we're holding up a mirror to racism, and satirising it,' but actually Bernand Manning-style racist.
Most teenagers I know prefer Family Guy to Simpsons, mainly because it's a bit cruder
Sporadic laugh out loud moments cushioned by baffling plot lines, face-palm random wackiness, and a complete lack of heart. On top of that it has some of the laziest animation I've ever seen.
I thought FG great as a teenager, but now I can barely watch it, and I feel I was somewhat conned into thinking it was funnier than it was, by making you feel like you don't 'get' a lot of the jokes that simply aren't funny.
Not gonna laugh at the Family Guy love because it's probably only a matter of good luck that I wasn't in this thread, foolishly rating it above Futurama...
better then the current Family Guy product at least
After seeing loads of episodes in a random order when I was 17/18, I finally got around to watching through this back in April/May. absolutely superb stuff, and the last proper TV episode is one of the most "awwww :)" things I've ever seen.
then I have to put a massive gap like below to indicate the gap in quality
American Dad/Family Guy...(both pretty crap, yeah)
INDIE CHOICE ALERT
no but seriously moral orel is pretty much the greatest thing ever on television
I would still maintain that the first 2, at a stretch 3 series contains some of the funniest tv out there, it's basically after it got popular that it went really shite. Seriously, go back to the beginning, the animation might be mince and its only really Peter and Brian who are funny but they really are.
The lipo-suction episode is actually incredible, so many great moments
