what games do people play. a personal favourite of mine is black and white 2. whats yours?
I cant choose though. Theyre all amazing.
Or is this just a beautiful coincidence?
for a night. took it back the next day because it was shit. the best rpg is either fable or elder scrolls. lionhead is such a good developer:)
And the creature island thing. I never got 2 because i never got round to it and i heard it wasnt that good. Is it ?
the creature control is more inutiative and easier to master, either turning him inot a mega warrior or a caring fluffy helper. the graphics are jaw dropping, best rts graphics ever. oh yeah and you get armies and can have massive wars. oh man its too good.
sensible world of soccer.
i just bought a pad for my PC for this reason.
and battlefield 2 is a beast of a game.
GTA: San Andreas
Silent Hill 3
They are all amazing. Fact.
brilliant. graphics are astonishing for a gamecube. best game of that generation of consoles.
Gets the prefect balance of gameplay and graphics just right.
Are we talking about PC games?
or go for a round on Tiger Woods golf.
and I'm having far too much fun posting shit unfunny comments everywhere.
So I'll make the sensible decision and do neither.
is it ace? I loved the first 2
San Andreas is beyond good. I almost lost a girlfriend because of that game, true story.
It really surpasses the first two. Alot more atmospheric, and better gameplay.
Get it. Now!
But I am OG Loc.
is amazing. I'm shocked by the massive scale of it! Great missions too.
Radio Los Santos. Is that what it's called? The one with Chuck D?
The rock one is the best.
L7? Pearl Jam? Janes Addiction.
Hitman: Blood Money. It's the shit.
"dig a hole, and plant yourself"
if it's not K-DST, you can go shit.
YOUNG HEARTS BE FREE TONIGHT
TIME IS ON YOUR SIDE
"Eh eh ehhhhh I'm ah gonna win!
Naturally, all of us cool people are on the internet talking about computer games. Who needs friends.
Carmageddon 2 and TDR 2000
Did have Alien vs Predator 2, but my mate nicked it back.
Dungeon Keeper 1 (vintage)
On my N64
Turok Rage Wars (shite)
I'm quite behind on the times with consoles....
is being released in less than a month and Zelda: Phantom Hour Glass will follow fairly soon after. Buying a DS was definitely a good plan.
Its underwhelming. And the main character is an annoying fuck- he's no Cloud.
I can waste hours on LMA manager with another certain DiSer.
But seriously Dark Chronicle is the best RPG on the PS2 by far!!
The world would be a far better place.
is the only way to play.
With these games.
Liscence to kill was the only way to play, indeed. Just make sure to have an option in place that made sure you dumb,cheating little bastard couldn't pick Oddjob.
I did 00 Agent and got all the cheats except for double RCP90s, but I got all weapons so who cares?) and did likewise for Perfect Dark (apart from all weapons...dang.)
Knee-skating on the facility level with automatics in GoldenEye was genius on a par with fucking Einstein.
"Your dumb, cheating little bastard friend."
LOLdeneye! we used to call it "gliding" when you crouched. It was rather creepy. Oddjob was a short bastard, but we found that a couple of the civilian characters are quite short as well, particularly the woman. The RCP90 owned though.
Also love Half-Life 2, Advance Wars and Warcraft 3. I'm gay for strategy games.
Warcraft 3. And mmm Shadow of the Colossus.
is fucking cool. the first time you see the colossi you jaw jsut drops.
its luverly. on a side note, its rather depressing doing this on a friday night. roll on tomorrow.
an go out 2moro. talking about computer games is the coolest thing you can do. now all i need to do is start a thread about computer games hardware. the ati x850xt is a spiffing graphcs card.
oh to play that again.
Good GOD, Ikaruga.
it's literally a work of art.
4 months of my life last year to World Of Warcraft. It's an amazing game, stupidly big, and you end up having a full-on internet based social life (a bit like these boards...) with the people you meet in there. Full on geekery though, and not the kind of thing you should admit to doing in polite company!
was an alternative life for me a couple of years back, awesome game.
and FF7 before that
A whole saturday playing FF7. Literally from about 9 AM till 11 PM. Toilet breaks and occasional food breaks of course though.
Im so cool....
was amazing! These days all i've been playing is old Snes games on an emulator - Yoshi's Island, Zelda, Super Ghouls and Ghosts etc, but once the exams are over ill probably return to San Andreas (the countryside hillbilly areas are ace)
oh and i have yet to get past the first level of Doom 3 still, terrifying it is
Was aceness personified. What a game- I still remember the bizarre joy I got out of eating and pooing enemies out as amunition (i.e, eggs).
But it was such a cool game. Those skiing sections were a different class.
God, I'm talking about a 13 year old game! This is the one part of my life that makes me sound like an old fart: "You know, back in my day, we didn't have all this bullet-time, internet-multiplayer, gazillion pixel graphic processors and face melting sound. We had to make do with gameplay, imagination and 2D graphics. Yoshi's Island, now THAT was a game. You don't know you're born, son." :)
for my DS. I can't get past the level where the chomp chases you eating the ground behind you. I suck.
it may have been a girls' computer game, but by gum it was good (and even more addictive than myspace, possibly).
Ok, so it fuels the capitalist/beurgeoise myth of classless social advancement, but it's so ace.
i got that for christmas once
and the other day had the overwhelming urge to play it
probably because I have exams at the moment
fortunately it was broken
and just to check.... *everyone* used to put their sims in the pool and then remove the ladder so they couldnt get out, at least once right?.... right?!
what I did was build a "cooker"; a tiny room full of chairs, a barbecue, and an easily removable door.
the Tiny Rooms. they were horrible weren't they. and if you built one in a house where there was graves the ghosts came to spook them in their Tiny Rooms.
seriously, who invented this game.
somebody without a basic grasp of physics. According to the Sims, you can't set small children on fire.
My brief reckons I might could get parole in six months
but if i managed it as an 8 year old then i'm sure you can
MY GOD it was actually perfect...that little tune that plays when you select a level will stay with me forever and the skiing bits were indeed immense!
Easily the best Mario game of all time, has to be said, was way underrated though cos it came about when noone really cared about the snes anymore
The E3 trailer is up on YouTube. Main difference appears to be that you sometimes carry baby Peach instead of baby Mario. Should be good anyway.
elder scrolls: oblivion
goodbye social life :(
ive Been playing it for ages and still no where near finishing it.
It's vast with both the expansions. My PC cant handle Oblivion
the urge, and it's a really strong one, to ask you 'Alliance or Horde'?
Track down this game and buy it. It's so great.
1 = The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
2 = Half Life (first one)
3 = Commander Keen
4 = Grand Prix 4
5 = Black and White (first one)
6 = Grand Theft Auto (original)
7 = Sonic The Hedgehog
8 = Halo
9 = Roller Coaster Tycoon
10 = Simon The Sorcerer
play Pro Evo.
I love Pro Evo.
1. All the Reptons
(Kicking it old school BBC Basic style)
Mario Cart and Zelda are classic
and Oblivion at the moment. I'm unemployed, dammit, I can justify spending 200 hours on a game...
you could draw parallel's between your taste in computer games and your music taste? ie all you guys saying that some ancient obscure BBC or NES game is the best game ever, do you think nothing will ever beat some old obscure Fall album? Me, I like games across most genres as long as it's new and interesting, I lose interest really quickly in old games but still hold the good ones in high esteem, and I tend to avoid the populist stuff as being 'too mainstream' like The Sims and Champ Manager. EXACTLY like my music taste then...
