Stone Cold Steve Austin

team_cooper [Edit] [Delete] 49 replies 17:06, 2 June '06

i forgot just how great wrestling used to be when you were young and dillusional and they had awesome characters like Austin who used to just doing something completely unimaginable, and then drink beers in the ring.
classic stuff.

  • what?

    WHAT?

    moker | 2 Jun '06, 17:08 | X
    • that was one of his catchphrases btw

      Remember?

      WHAT?

      Hahahahaha, that crazy Steve Austin.

      moker @moker | 2 Jun '06, 17:09 | X
      • boxman isn't a wrestler.

        silly.

        fishplums @moker | 2 Jun '06, 18:20 | X
    • did you just

find out that pro wrestling is fake?

      poor moker.

      guntrip @moker | 2 Jun '06, 17:09 | X
  • The best wrestlers of my youth were:

Bret the Hitman Hart and Macho Man Randy Savage.

They could beat Steve Austin into a cocked hat.

    tom_from_sparks | 2 Jun '06, 17:08 | X
    • OH yeah!

Randy Savage released a rap album. I really really really want to hear it.

      guntrip @tom_from_sparks | 2 Jun '06, 17:10 | X
    • yes

but did they have their OWN BEER COOLER WHICH THEY BROUGHT WITH THEM TO THE RING?!
      didn't think so.

      team_cooper @tom_from_sparks | 2 Jun '06, 17:10 | X
    • Ah

that Cocked Hat Match was a classic wasn't it?

      monpot @tom_from_sparks | 2 Jun '06, 17:10 | X
      • The days of

HHH, Stone cold, The Rock all at their peak (and Foley still around), was as good as wrestling ever got, I reckon.

        • mick foley legend

i cant believe he ripped his own ear off. tis just grim.

          adman2001 @thewarn | 2 Jun '06, 17:13 | X
        • FACT;

that was the pinacle of WWF/E wrestling. Steveweisers, Corperate Elbows, etc etc. Vince pissing himself... oh those were the days...

          snow_brigade @thewarn | 2 Jun '06, 17:43 | X
      • I know.

second only to the "first up the greasy pole" match.

        tom_from_sparks @monpot | 2 Jun '06, 17:12 | X
        • hahahah

          LOL.
wrestling makes me laff how into it people in the states get.
try telling one of those it's not real.

          adman2001 @tom_from_sparks | 2 Jun '06, 17:21 | X
  • HULLO?

Wasn't he The Bionic Man? Steve Austin?????????? Did you get that 70s programme over here?

    Rose-Kitten | 2 Jun '06, 17:11 | X
    • The Six-Million Dollar Man

Yes he was also named Steve Austin.

Supposedly they called the female version of the series The Bionic Woman as the 'Six Million Dollar Woman' made her sound like a whore...

      TheoGB @Rose-Kitten | 2 Jun '06, 17:15 | X
      • What kind of whore...

charges those kind of prices anyway?

        tom_from_sparks @TheoGB | 2 Jun '06, 17:16 | X
        • I'd do it for six million dollars.

          Yup. For sure.
BTW, that was my error - he was known as the Six Million Dollar Man.. and it was yes, The Bionic Woman.

          Rose-Kitten @tom_from_sparks | 2 Jun '06, 17:17 | X
    • Yep, same guy.

The others never stood a chance!

  • My WWF 'period' was about 1990/1991

when a friend had Sky (you know, back in the day when only about 15 people had it and it was wall-to-wall German soft porn).

    I remember:

    Ultimate Warrior
    Brett the Hitman Hart
    The Undertaker

    Erm...

    TheoGB | 2 Jun '06, 17:17 | X
    • The Million Dollar Man.

      Mr Perfect
      Lex Lugar
      The Legion of Doom
      Andre the Giant

      tom_from_sparks @TheoGB | 2 Jun '06, 17:19 | X
    • i still want

to read the Ultimate Warrior's comic book.

      guntrip @TheoGB | 2 Jun '06, 17:20 | X
      • Look

I know wrestling isn't real. Everyone that watches wrestling knows it isn't real.
I also know Neighbours isn't real, My Name Is Earl isn't real, The Simpsons isn't real, Seinfield isn't real etc etc.Does that mean I don't enjoy them? No it doesn't.

Anyway, Ring of Honor is where it's at. CM Punk, Samoa Joe, Bryan Danielson, AJ Styles etc etc

        rspce @guntrip | 2 Jun '06, 17:29 | X
        • fuck yeah

its all about CM Punk. But more about Samoa Joe.

          bigmanwithagun @Martbowski | 2 Jun '06, 19:05 | X
        • watching that has got me tingling.

i remember when it first happened too. there was about a twelve month period where i was OBSESSED with wwf.
my favourite was always the undertaker though. especially when he would ride out on his harley to kid rock and everyone would chant the "HEY! HEY! HEY! HEY!" bit.
          oh man!

          fishplums | 2 Jun '06, 18:19 | X

and he fell through the cage and broke the ring:
            http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2l4BtJjEHqA&search=mick%20foley%20undertaker
one of the most sadistic matches ever

              • how

many times did the undertaker and mick foley wrestle!?

i remember the time when paul bearer (?) betrayed the undertaker for mankind (old school, but not quite dude love). fucking hell was i mad. and then mankind and every other wrestler "buried" the undertaker "alive". seriously. disturbing.

                  big daddy cool diesel.
                  brett hitman hart.

i must have been watching wrestling when i was way young.

          • it's

JR's voice that really sets off the hairs on the arms.
            "STUNNER!"
            "ANOTHER STUNNER!".
remember when JR once got beaten up and Stone Cold had to come to his rescue? absolutely classic.

that's the mick foley cage match i was on about ^^^
HHH throws him through the cage, he makes a crater in the ring, gets back up only for HHH to pedigree him into a load of thos thumbtacks the wwf used to love.
you have to try and ignore the annoying song in the background though..
