BUT people who deny the importance of hate suck.
its HALF THE FUCKING SPECTRUM OF HUMAN EMOTION.
if you cant hate, youre only half a human being.
makes your face screw up and that's not useful to anybody.
makes you wrinkly and sour looking.. there was a thread a bit like this the other day...!
more effort. id rather love than hate.
Have produced great music...
And you can't have one without knowing the other, I reckon
that you can't know happiness unless you've been sad
but it is as important
or MORE important?
important, not more
but hate certainly has a point. imagine of the world was just lovelovelove all the time. i'd fucking top myself.
useful in what way?
hate is central to suicide prevention in this case?
the system works
i dunno how useful it is, but it is important
to hate things than people though.
cos hating a concept pushes you in a positive direction, whereas hating a person doesnt achieve much, apart from making you human.
robert mugabe, you're ok i guess
BUT THIS STAPLER, IT JUST WON'T WORK AAARRRRRRGH
it's just most of the time people have redeeming features. whereas concepts etc. they can be all wrong.
but good point alcxxk. it can be quite hard to manifest hatred against a concept though.
you go and create something better, it's like a hatred of a type of music or band can lead to people making great music
can be translated into passion to make things better. whereas hating people can lead to maliciousness and making enemies.
some people are worth being enemies with?
robert mugabe etc. but i'd say generally it's better to avoid it, rather than thinking of hate as a really positive thing.
i hope so. 'Cos i fucking hate loads.
i personally find it quite hard to hate people so maybe that's got something to do with my viewpoint.
"'Cos i fucking hate loads." just shot up my rankings of ace DiSers
That's how the boundaries of culture are defined: to have order, a society first defines what needs to be loved or hated (which isn't manipulation really- I'm talking really base things) so that we can regulate everything and keep it all together.
good point dude. though that doesn't necessarily need to be formulated along the lines of love and hate. more like exclusion and inclusion.
This cheered me up significantly, because it made it seem like I have made an impact on the world.
Saying 'I hate you' rarely gets you a shag.
rarely gets me a shag, therefore hate must be neutral.
