i just watched flight 93
its weird seeing a film about something i can actually remember happening, it wasnt a great film but it was alright, its kinda sad, i think it was a pretty accurate representation of what happened and apparently they used some of the real phonecalls made, but when you actually see it dramatized it actually hits home how awful it really was for the families involved. anyway im sure this film will be overshadowed by the nicholas cage film but its worth watching, although it did have kind of a tv movie feel to it.
has anyone seen it?
no, and i really have no desire to, whatsoever...
i refuse to watch this
so crass, really.
does it have an awful string-laden score that reaches a crescendo when the passengers rush the terrorists?
i dunno
cant remember, probably, but would you expect anything less? it is overly sentimental though, but then its about a tragedy and if those people on the plane actually did do what we are told they did then its perfect movie fodder innit, it was only a matter of time
I'd watch it,
but I fear an American patriot-fest of heroic yanks saving the world.
"Let's get these bastards... For AMERICA!"
so watch it
if it's like that, you can take the piss, and if it isn't, it might be good.
too soon.
22.5 years have got to pass before something tragic gets funny
nah its not like that
america fuck yeah!
hmmmm
I watched a documentary about that flight some months ago, basically the same premise as it used a lot of reconstruction and although it was slightly too sentimental (inescapable as so tragic?) I think that a documentary is a much better way to go about it, doesn't have that cashing in aspect
p.s. Nobody will convince me that that plane wasn't shot down, an action that I don't disagree with
