seriously. the tax office people just won't help me. how do i get all my money back. the bastards.
but try here, anyhow... http://www.payecheck.co.uk/tax_rebates_form.html
Good luck - tax man is nasty
I've got to fill out an Employment Record form that wants details of all my employment and periods of unemployment since April 6th 2004.
explaining how I'd been taxed even though I didn't earn enough in a year to be taxed and bang, like that....three months later i got £650 back :D
but who do i send it to? :(
it has to go to MY tax office apparently and i know what where that might be
i went down to my local inland revenue office armed with all my payslips for the relevant period and they sorted out the rest.
it was surprisingly easy.
can't remember where i sent it, that's helpful. But I put in every number i could find on my P60, tax code, national insurance no. etc
i'm good at writing letters
some might say 'the best'
will have to make a special trip to the inland revenue again soon
basically you need to fill in a form you get from you local tax office. what you have to fill in is your employment/unemployment status for the whole year. for the times you are employed you have to put (roughly) what ur weekly wage was and also the tax code you were on (which should be on ur p45).
then you need to give them your p45 from any jobs you've left in the last year and also your p60 which you should have got from ur current employer at the beginning of april.
the money supposedly comes through in 6 weeks :D
phew! hope that helps a bit
