Help me settle an argument:
Is Napoleon Dynamite ironic?
but it sure is shite
or so my friends say. i am not ironic.
we are fighting over whether the comedy is ironic or not.
I think it has its moments. But I haven't watched in ages so I'm probably wrong.
It's pretty much my favourite animal right now.
Don: Hey, Napoleon. What did you do last summer again?
Napoleon Dynamite: I told you! I spent it with my uncle in Alaska hunting wolverines!
Don: Did you shoot any?
Napoleon Dynamite: Yes, like 50 of 'em! They kept trying to attack my cousins, what the heck would you do in a situation like that?
Don: What kind of gun did you use?
Napoleon Dynamite: A freakin' 12-gauge, what do you think?!
LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT
I love him as a result.
in the same way anchorman is. I think.only less so.
it thought it was terrible. Utter shite.
How would it be ironic? in that it's not really trying to be funny?
I don't understand a word you just said!
I had a stupid, pointless argument with him and he came to the same conclusion as me.
That is, "It has some ironic bits; it may even have a theme of irony but I haven't seen it in ages so I couldn't really say that for sure"
Then he tried to say Anchorman didn't have irony in it either.
He's an arse.
It has its moments, but it's not that great. At its worst, it's Forrest Gump-esque celebration of stupidity.
