Louis XIV's girlfriend is fine.
Not one single female dr who fan I know doesn't think he's lush
it is really ace!
I 'heart' Dr Who a lot
how come dr who went from a neuter into a stud? every girl wants wants wants him.
he just can't breed. true story.
I spent half my 4th year at uni having dr who marathons as one of my hourmates had about 25 videos - lots of tea and fags PROLEFACT
We never went past Peter Davidson though, thankfully
One concern of mine - will the bring The Master back for series 3?
i think that they're hinting that there's another timelord, and they aren't gonna bring back the rani are they?
Best of the series
When the king handed the Doctor the letter from Madame de Pompadour, I was wondering if they'd tell us what the letter said or if they'd leave it hanging. I was hoping it wouldn't be really naff but then when he read it I was not far off shedding a tear.
I'm just a soppy twit, aren't I? Anyway, excellent episode.
gorgeous, I'm in love, I'm going to go out tomorrow and buy Thunderbirds on DVD, it also has a great soundtrack.
By Dr Who himself, it'll never last.
but if i had a girlfriend i might go see tristan and isolde...
And is also very young, comparative to the 37 (did anyone else just have a 'Clerks' moment?) she was meant to be at the end...
= quite scary really
WHY WERE THEY SPEAKING IN ENGLISH THOUGH??????
The Tardis translates everything.....so I've been told.
tsk. keep up...
Couldnt he have nipped back in the tardis and at least taken her to see the star that she picked? Maybe being born, or for poiniancy, taken her (from her deathbed) to see the star she chose, die, hopefully (from the dramatic point of view) they could have then both died at the same time.
and spent a lot of the time being quite confused.
But what happened towards the end? The Doctor said to Madame de Pompadour something like "pack your bags and I'll be back" through the fire place; but what happened next?
Did he just leave and never come back, leaving her stood by the fire with a suitcase?
why did it jump forward to her death at the end?
Off hand I can't think what that's like but it's been done before with these sorts of 'time door' type of stories.
Anyway, the point was that whenever he returned the time line was further forward and (presumably) by that point it had all be speeding up massively to the point where the time he spent getting sorted worked out as 6 years or something in the timeline there.
The excuse for not using the TARDIS was something about them already being in the timeline. I think they've never really been able to go back and affect what they did the first time without a major effect (like when Rose saved her dad)... I don't necessarily agree with that but it would appear to be how they're working this timeline...
i did consider it was a relative time speed issue, but i'm sure he said that the robots were opening up lots of different time portals to different parts of her life in order to find the correct era, hence why it kept jumping about.
It's all a bit odd, really, isn't it?
