i'd prefer no to write much here to bias anything, but why do you read interviews with- and features on musicians?
and yes! actually.
Why not? I think that it is always interesting to get the perspective of the person that was creating something you like. For example, I have always been intrigued that David Bowie has no memory whatsoever of his great Station to Station LP. I think possibly this may mean that, in this example, an artists view means nothing, they go OFF as well like smelly eggs and distance themselves from records that are clearly great, as Bowie has.
and i think it's a waste of time. but i think reviews are a waste of time too
with musicians, because they rarely have anything interesting to say. They are the same as footballers.
I love football and music, but I don't generally give a toss about the people who play either.
if i'm interested in a musicians story. but i tend not to read interviews, and features on music generally are far better than ones on specific people.
i never particularly care about who is in a band, just about the music. i suppose in a way that makes me fairly shallow, but i can live with that.
you read the first two in order to ascertain this sameness?
