"No one likes Suede."
True, or false?
has disproved the statement. thank you crabbers. i won't embarrass the statement-maker by revealing their identity. i'm sure it's obvious.
I assume the former.
Loads of people like Suede. Well the first two albums at any rate...and the b-sides.
The first half of that b-side album is great.
this is the social board, so maybe it is the material!
= band. anyway, EVERYONE likes suede the material - there's no argument there!
with that whole anti-leather thing too?
with metal bits on back in about 1988.
But now, now i hate suede and Suede.
it makes my skin crawl.
i liked their first album and loved their second album
For two albums they were a great band.
like a pale imitation of David Bowie's perhaps?
if i never hear suede again it'll be too soon. but you can't say he wasn't hot when he had the asymmetric hair going on. c'moooon.
The first two albums were amazing.
the first album is BRILLIANT
suede are probably my second favourite band.
and the tears are pretty fucking good too.
anyone who doesn't appreciate suede should try reading the lyrics and comparing it to the utter shite "my old mans a dustman" impressionists today.
Suede were fucking brilliant. I grew my hair to be like Brett when I was young. I think he was my first pop star crush.
but with less perfection and planning. Just a big massive sweep. God, I looked awful. oh well.
my argument was that anyone under the age of 22 wouldn't give a fig about Suede in a retrospective way and it was only people who liked them during their tenure that would still do so. (I include myself as a Suede fan ignoring their last two quite shocking albums)
i liked what i heard, got the album, got bored. far too samey in my opinion.
but still kinda good...
The first album still sounds good and parts of Coming Up were ace too.
I had the tshirt and everything. Not listened to them for years though..but yes I do still like...just not so much as the 14 year old me
but can't see myself ever listening at home. don't really care either way.
and always will be - thei first album is dating badly though 'the next life' is ace. Anyway the first 'dance' for me and mrs prole was Stay Together so bah! to anyone who thinks Im grumbling.
Coming Up reminds me of the third year and Head Music reminds me of being stuck in a Call Centre. Somebody gave me a copy of 'A New Morning', which I think I listened to once on 'skip'
