and in answer to yr query, yes
Big Phil is obv. a very greedy man
I think the FA want to make an announcement next week and he doesn't want to commit to England before the World Cup. You might be right though.
but sadly a lot of these 'twists' always fall down to money - I'd say it will now 'fall' to 'big sam' for some reason. should be Glenn Roeder
gets chosen now will be an obvious second choice....so what you are looking for is a manager with not much morals and taked pride over money........sounds like venables or redknapp to me!!!
in that article he's saying it's about the media intrusion. Although, what did he expect really.
with his media record Phil would have been buried by press both tabloid and ex-broadsheet within a year.
Steve McClaren, then. I'm not sure I could cope with a national team who win games having been 3-0 down.
a welshman but if i was an england supporter i would not want mclaren as english manager.
i just dont think he is up to the job....having been svens no 2 i just think he would carry on in exactly the same mould as him....which is why beckham and owen will be rooting for mclaren
If we get Mclaren I will pretend to slit my wrists.
A lot has been said about not wanting to interfere with Portugal's preparation for the World Cup
Saying he's pulled out of the race is certainly one way of making sure this doesn't happen
But if they've sealed the Scolari deal already, surely it doesn't matter whether they announce it before or not?
I'm not saying this is what I think has happened, just that I wouldn't rule it out. Plus none of the media have touted this as a possibility yet (saying that, they haven't exactly had time to). Although, I doubt they'll be forthright in admitting they have been hoodwinked
surely it does matter who England manager is?
And when you think of the ages of most of the current first XI, you can only see one or two changes being made before Euro 2008
