what's your favourite type of camera? i can't remember. list them all.
off of Boots The Chemist. ALSO FREE AS I HAD ENOUGH ADVANTAGE POINTS. YES.
god bless the soviet union.
but i don't think it has a flash
in my room at uni. i <3 cameras. my favourite is my minolta slr. i hate my digital one, and want to replace it with an absolute beast.
i also want a rising front camera. oh yes.
really nice in every way, good bright colour/picture quality, and easy to use without being retardedly simplistic.
i love the camera on my phone though [nokia 7610] - it's a great little camera. everything comes out really clearly, but with a sort of gentle graininess that actually looks nice and compliments the pictures. i use it far more than my proper camera these days.
it's all about FILM.
look! i got lost on there for a half hour earlier.
i wish i worked for Magnum.
The photo agency, not Tom Selleck.
looks like fun
tell me more
Russian & cheap are all that's to it really.
the website will tell you more than i can.
i still don't actually own a camera but i'm hoping i get a nice birthday present....
found out about it a few months ago really
i have no cause for presents for like AGES now
unless anyone just wants to buy me one of course
a zenit 35mm on ebay a while ago. for a tenner.
it's horribly pretty. hard screw-on-able leather case n that.
doesn't work though. :(
of the original variety. Although you can have a new one too if you wish... http://www.hasselblad.co.uk/
but I'd go for the original Hoff if you wanna select him. The older version of Hoff is a bit plastic these days. And you can take pics of The Hoff using a, well, Hasselblad... (Can I come?)
but i imagine he won't want your sort around
i have an lc-a that i got off ebay for cheap. they are notoriously easy to break so i would never buy one brand new. they're great for taking out to gigs but pretty crappy for daytime shots.
i'd quite like a holga as well or maybe i should finally get round to buying a digital one...
a Nikon F55. It's good, but I never use it, and feel guilty about this.
My Nikon F-100 is WONDERFUL.
clicking noises MMM
in an amazing way.
My old minolta thingy makes ace noises.
creweee sort of
god, it's so satisfying
which is strange as i think she's all round edges.
raz, do you spend all your time loking for myspace photos to show us?
are you interested or something?
i just thought you were gay
so charming. why do you think i'm gay?
your gaydar needs retuning then.
my general fear is spot on though.
the pinhole camera IS best.
lomo! lomo x 1000. my holga and oktomat cameras are two of the best things ever. it has eight lenses. eight. and the blurb on the website says: "Swing your head around and imagine your two eyes multiplying into 8 – winking in 2-second, serial succession." which is incredible. and it makes a deeply weird noise when it takes pictures. i.e. its perfect.
this sounds even better.
but would a 10 lensed camera be even better?
the quality of the camera is directly proportional to the amount of lenses it has
however this fails to work for vison correction on people.
2 lens: worst
0 lens: second worst
1 lens (monacle): best in the business
any advice from the ppes out there in DiSland?
are you willing to spend ?
Whatever your answer is, buy a Canon, they seem to have a bit of a lead on everyone else just now.
on how much you're willing to spend, the Canon 20D is pretty much the best thing around. Failing that, the cheaper 350D is also great, minus the rubbish plastic body.
has the same amount of pixels etc as the 350D so I'd forget about the 20 and go for the 350D, far cheaper. Either that or get £3500 for a 5D, image stabiliser lens and two flash units.
without a doubt.
I have a Canon 5d and 350d.
If you're on a budget, you can't get better than the 350d - it really light and small for a dslr, image quality is excellent and its low light performance is stunning.
These were taken with the 350d:
before I upgraded to my truly wonderful full frame 5d.
those three links are meant to be together... don't know what happened there...
for me! But as im in the states right now and the dollar is so weak i may invest in a Nixon Cool Pix X for $230 - anyone know if they are any good??
I've currently got the 350d, though I'm already wanting to upgrade.
I've also got a bronnie!
