How can they allow this to be true???
they have bowed to the pressure of the xenophobic press.
Apparently they asked him if they could place him on a shortlist for the job and and he told them not to waste his time and fuck off.
it's not signed yet - maybe Hiddink is applying the thumbscrews
But not O'Neill?
O'Neill has at least got some European experiance (UEFA Cup Final) as well as experiance of winning trophies with Leicester which is no mean feat!
I'd like to see Big Sam get it.
He's worked wonders with that team, and he deserves a chance at the top level.
Big Phil or Big Mart would be a lot more preferable. Hiddink would have been a great appointment but stupid FA buggered it up as usual.
could have us back playing like the graham taylor glory days, is Kevin Davies English?
every other major footballing power has coaches of that nationality.
Why should the FA be considered in the wrong to wish the same?
is they only ever seem to be stumbling around reacting to whatever is happening this particular week. So we got Sven, the cool tactician as a reaction to Keegan. Now we'll get any passionate Englishman regardless of track record. Man City are approximately as good under Pearce as they were under Keegan,so he makes the short-list.
Hiddink is a bit of a genius at international football.
I seriously think Steve McClaren will get it. Especially if we win the UEFA cup...
We need to bring in someone great, like Scolari, O'Neill or Jim Smith.
I don't want Allardyce to get it. I think Stuart Pearce will make a good England manager some day, but he needs a few years yet.
O'Neill to get it either...
I don't think he's right for the job, I think he's a very overrated manager. Plus the fact he isn't English means he definitely won't get it...
I want Scolari or O'Neill, but would have been happy with Hiddink.
Curbishley/Allardyce can both fuck off. I will be severely disappointed if either of them are given the job.
