me (sort of)
I'd quite like to listen to Mothers Milk right now.
rollercoaster lots. this will prob get me cussed
I like Mother's Milk best and I have a big soft spot for Blood Sugar Sex Magic - YES I DO!!! Particularly 'I'm a little peeeea'.
I think I've got the first 4 albums somewhere in my drawers.
no one 'bigs up' their last few compressed for radio Virgin FM ones - anyway, my thread was about bands for people who aren't into music - it was just my choice and NOT me decree that's all!!
was a bit gash
on One Hot Minute?
It is isn't it... the red one with cream stuff on it rather than the black and white one..
I must have 5 albums then. Go me!
Shuttit Wishpig, I'm gonna slip some RHCP into a mixtape for you and you'll LOVE it!
that album is underrated in terms of the rchp career, its a shame they over look it in favour of the newer stuff
ultravox. have you heard vienna?
and she won't get bollocked off for saying that.
Ultravox on the other hand were not just about one portentous slab of romo-gristle now were they, silly.
into at chillies hating thread
supposed to be in the music forum?
seeing as musically they are crap and boring.
awful. i stna dby what i said. ALL musicians turn shit one day
They weren't always!
I find it hard to believe that people think they have got worse.
They have become a technically outstanding band, with vastly improved songwriting...
And the stupid, fun tracks interspersed with the more sensible, melodic ones made the sensible songs sound even better.
but if i want funk i turn to George Clinton...
fun & enjoyable music > technical & sensible music
They were a huge influence on me. I wouldent be listening to "decent" music now if it wasnt for them. At least give them credit for that.
them in July. So there.
My reluctant love for the Chili Peppers in years gone by. When you're a young lad who knows no better, along with G n' R & Jane's Addiction, they kept me interested in music before I was able to discover there's MUCH MORE BETTER stuff out there (via my brother's record collection). I still think BSSM is a good record & I also like Freakey Stylee too, some decent white-boy George Clinton produced funk. And it has a great cover of 'If you want me to stay' by Sly Stone on it :-p
has anyone seen the mr bungle live thing where they dress up as the chillis and their 5th member is death
