I just deleted loads of files off my USB pen, but it's saying it's still full. Why might this be? Theo?
or perhaps it's an inherent flaw in the psychology of machines
all my machines are working against me today - especialy my F**King soundcard
in other news - a USB pen?! cool...
that was more of a Prole reply than a Theo? one
1gb. Fits on a keyring. Brilliant for carrying files around, and sharing music/ rfling through friends' iTunes and 'borrowing' stuff... but still saying it's full :-S
loading all your pen files into a folder in your mac and then reformatting the pen
Are you modern?
Probably a reformat might be an option.
Also, does your Mac OS automatically put things into a recycle type bin? Maybe it's created something like that on the pen automatically when you deleted them and now you just need to empty it.
Moving things to the trash alone doesn't delete them from the pen. You have to empty the trash to clear the space.
is pretty impressive
whatever will they think of next eh?
I wish they would actually. I have some pieces of digital film squatting on my hard drive, too big to go on a CD, and I'd love to back them up and clear the space. Need an external hard drive really.
they'll go straight to 4gigs
maybe some kind of memory biscuit for exam crammers where you have the complete works of shakespeare uploaded on a ryvita...
The lack of sleep is making my mind go blank. I need some further research ideas!!!
want a memory biscuit. Please tell me that will really happen. Imagine......
the entire encyclopaedia britanicca (sp?) in a pack of Garibaldi
4GB memory thingys. i saw one the other day. nothing special really.
nothing special *sniffsniff*
I could seriously do with one of those.
Might get one. Although external hard drives are only about £80 these days and I bet the 4gb pen is about the same.
it was just funny because the guy who had it was working on a quite an old system which could only handle 2GB worth of data. and he's walking round with 4GB in his pocket. thats amazing.
I am going to buy a 250GB or 300GB external hard drive I think for backup purposes.
But they're hardly small enough to cart around everywhere, I reckon. My iRiver seems shockingly chunky in these days of ultra-tiny units too.
Another glorious 'Theo?' moment of succes.
I live to serve... :-D
