Spell check doesn't recognise it.
weird, 'disproven' isn't a word, where as 'disproved' and 'disprove' are.
ms word sucks for recognising loads of words
our survey says...
the closest derivative to the word is disapprove.
it cannnot be put in the past tense.
Unproven is passive - something hasn't been proven to be right yet. Disproving is actively proving something to be wrong.
So disproven should be a word.
