its on the tellybox now.
whats the point in it? why dont they just play basketball?
but she reckons that netball is a viable game in its own right. i imagine the tactics are very different and thus interesting. the whole 'goal shooter' thing is a bit annoying though. you don't get excitement equivalent to some centre back scoring the only goal of his career and going mental.
it's just for those prissy girls who just like prnacing about in short skirts and fussing about their hair/ make-up. Well, that's in my experience anyway.
It is just a crap, easier version on basketball.
it's surely harder because you're not allowed to move at all with the ball?
sometimes. I netball you just stand there with the ball and wait for people to get in the right place so you can throw it to them. In basketball you also have people constatly trying to knock the ball out of your hands whilst dribbling.
i forgot you can't knock the ball out of peoples' hands in netball, ja?
I haven't been forced to play it for a few years now.
intercept the ball whenever you like though, near enough knock it out of someones hands if you wish.
however netball isnt just for 'those prissy girls who just like prnacing about in short skirts and fussing about their hair/ make-up' i played netball for about eight year, even for south oxfordshire and never once wore a skirt, which is one reason why i stopped. others were because the two lip piercings were not welcome, neither was the hair colour... and partaking in 'shuttles' nearly killed me.
'in my experience'. Obviously I've never met every netball player EVER, but everyone I knew who played it was like that.
you to have met EVERRRY player. thats a bit mental. however your experience of others is probably one that everyone else would agree with anyway.
i wanted to prove it wrong. and i did.
my work here is done.
they cant run with the ball.
pointless. iv decided that netball = one of the worst sports ever.
I was great at it until I broke some poor girl's nose and go banned.
Byt the way there's a great netball porn film set in the changing rooms.
i won't comment on the netball porno.
or wing defence. I never really liked sports in general though, unless it was basketball or tennis. I absolutely love tennis.
I got put off it when, in year 9 whilst playing inter-house rounders (one of the few things I actually did as a contibution to my house) I got knocked out by someone's elbow whilst running to 4th base. It hurt and was embarrassing. Hilarious looking back on it though.
I don't like it how the shuttlecock doesn't bounce in badminton - that's what I like about tennis.
I don't go to a private school, but our school has now become a 'sports college' so all the emphasis is on sport.
hockey = ace
tennis = ace
