guntrip is diving into his geogrpahical knowledge.
we all used to be one big island called pangea.
geography doesn't really have much to do with it.
she was probably thinking of the Ile de la Cite which is a part of Paris that is an island on the River Seine
she probably was just being stupid.
I just noticed the bit about her asking if France was an island. So yeah, just stupid I think.
why is great britain an island (or 2 big islands and a coupla small ones, or whatever) and so is australia, but the WHOLE of Africa isn't? It seems to me that everything's an island.
it's a continent.
you're technically right, but the definition is based on size.

bit of useless knowledge for you there.
what i mean!
is an island of bad taste !
This is true !
I've know that since i was about 12
Was she referring to Ile De France?
" Is Paris in America?"
dear oh dear.......

there's no Paris with an eiffel tower in america !
I just had never come across that fact before
"you speak French in England right?"
"Your country is named after a subject Americans take at school."
