Why is it slowing my computer down shitloads??
IE isn't doing it, just Firefox...
Mine seems fine at home but at work it just eats up my entire processor.
Is there any way I can sort this out? I much prefer Firefox to IE... or is there another browser as good as Firefox?
I don't know of any way to sort it out. Try uinstalling and then reinstalling.
You could try raising it as an issue but I haven't really bothered as I don't want to risk having to wade through a bunch of ignorant cunts waffling on about how it's my fault for running Windows instead Linux.
No I don't think I could be arsed with that either.
I'll try uninstalling then reinstalling.
instead of OS X?
oh and none of the software I use will run on it.
Ho hum. :-D
you tried turning it off and on again?
ok... well. can you try turning it off and on once more?
hasn't worked? ok then. hmmm. I'm just going to pop you on hold.
*20 minutes later*
Hi - sorry about that. Right, what i want you to do is:
Turn it off.
Leave it for 30 seconds.
Now can you - turn it back on again?
the annoying thing is IT ALWAYS WORKS... bastards.
It freezes and crashes all the bloody time, I've dl the latest version but it still messes up. I know someone else that's having the same problem.
It's really annoyinh but I don't think I could ever go back to IE.
always freezing and crashing...
I can't live without tabbed browsing but this crashing palava is doing my little brain in.
It works 'properly' in IE, as in CTRL+TAB moves like ALT+TAB not just sequentially.
But yeah, it was nice when I could select text in DiS. Oh well. I use Firefox at home no problem.
The new version of Firefox has been a bit slower for me as well. I'm sure it's just something in the settings I havent worked out yet.
Or maybe the fact that my home computer is still running on 64 (sic) megabytes of RAM....
64KB was where it was at.
